Full Installation With Permits – Davie, FL | High‑Compliance Pallet Rack System

Date: September 26, 2025

Project Scope

This project required a complete pallet rack installation performed under municipal permitting requirements. The facility needed a professionally engineered layout, structurally compliant anchoring, and verification that the system met local safety codes and capacity regulations. The objective was to increase vertical storage while ensuring full compliance and operational reliability.

Challenges & Constraints

  • Municipal permitting required engineering documentation, stamped drawings, and coordinated approval to avoid delays.

  • Installation activities needed to be staged around active warehouse operations, maintaining forklift lanes and staging areas.

  • Beam spans varied (8' and 12') and required layout adjustments to ensure consistent load distribution and safe working clearances.

Solution Implementation

Bogardus installed 20' x 42" uprights paired with both 8' and 12' beams to create a flexible, high‑capacity rack configuration. Row spacers were used to stabilize longitudinal alignment, and each uprighting anchor was positioned and torque‑verified per engineered drawings. The layout included 42" x 46" wire decks for uniform load support and value‑added safety.

Outcome & Operational Impact

The completed system delivered increased pallet density, streamlined forklift travel paths, and improved order‑picking efficiency. The project achieved full municipal code compliance, eliminating future liability risk and ensuring safe, long‑term structural integrity. The client now operates a high‑capacity, code‑certified storage environment built to accommodate continued growth and inventory expansion.

Installation – Customer‑Provided Material | Pallet Rack Optimization

Date: September 19, 2025

Project Scope

The client supplied their own pallet rack components and required a professional reconfiguration and installation to ensure structural integrity, improved layout efficiency, and compliance with safe warehouse operation standards. The goal was to maximize the value of existing assets while correcting previous installation deficiencies.

Challenges & Constraints

  • The materials had been previously installed improperly, requiring a full teardown, inspection, and redesign.

  • The warehouse was operating during installation, so staging and aisle access needed to remain open for inbound and outbound traffic.

  • Components were mixed and needed to be matched, aligned, and structurally balanced to ensure load‑rated performance.

Solution Implementation

Bogardus reinstalled the system using 20' uprights, 144" beams, and 42" x 46" wire decks. The layout was redesigned to optimize vertical cube utilization, straight-line forklift travel, and uniform load distribution. All connections were professionally secured and torque-checked to meet structural requirements.

Outcome & Operational Impact

The customer achieved a fully optimized and structurally sound rack system built entirely from their existing materials, eliminating unnecessary purchasing costs. Warehouse flow improved due to cleaner aisle spacing, safer elevations, and more efficient inventory staging. The long-term impact includes reduced risk of loading-related incidents, improved forklift safety, and reliable high-capacity storage that supports future throughput growth.

Cantilever Installation – Odessa, FL | Long Material Storage System

Date: September 12, 2025

Project Scope

A warehouse operation managing steel, lumber, and oversized products required a safe and organized storage solution that eliminated floor-level clutter and improved forklift loading efficiency. The goal was to install a cantilever system capable of supporting mixed-duty loads while maximizing vertical space utilization.

Challenges & Constraints

  • The facility had limited staging space, requiring precise installation sequencing to avoid production disruption.

  • Materials varied significantly in length and weight, requiring a system that could safely support both light- and medium-duty inventory.

  • Forklift maneuverability in the cantilever zone needed to be preserved to ensure daily loading efficiency.

Solution Implementation

Bogardus installed cantilever towers measuring 12' in height, positioned on 4' spacing intervals to ensure even load distribution. The system included 4' arms configured for dual-duty capacity and secured anchoring for long-term structural performance. The layout was engineered to maintain wide forklift aisles and provide clear vertical access for stacking and retrieval.

Outcome & Operational Impact

The new cantilever system eliminated floor-level storage hazards and significantly improved forklift access and operational flow. The warehouse gained a well‑organized and high‑capacity storage structure that increased usable vertical space, reduced handling time, and improved safety for both personnel and equipment. Over the long term, the facility will benefit from reduced product damage, improved material visibility, and an optimized staging area that supports higher throughput.

Racking Teardown & Resale – Material Recovery Project

Date: September 5, 2025

Project Scope

The client required full removal and liquidation of an existing pallet rack system as part of a larger facility renovation initiative. The goal was not only to clear valuable warehouse space, but to preserve resale value in the recovered equipment. This required precise dismantling, detailed component staging, and strategic handling to prevent damage to the materials during teardown and transport.

Solution

Bogardus executed a full systematic dismantling of the warehouse storage system, which included 24 uprights, 98" x 3.65" beams, and 42" x 46" waterfall wire decks. Each component was disassembled using proper sequencing techniques to ensure structural safety, prevent bending or warping, and allow resale-grade condition. Materials were staged for optimal reloading, documentation, and resale positioning, ensuring maximum retained value for the client.

Outcome

The project successfully cleared the facility for renovation while preserving the integrity of the dismantled components. The client gained usable warehouse real estate and the ability to recover strong resale value from their equipment. The material recovery effort reduced waste, lowered equipment replacement costs, and created a measurable return from the former racking assets.
